Terms of Service

1. Overview

World Cup Sweepstake 2026 (“the Service”) is operated by GiftLode (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service. The Service allows organisers to create sweepstakes for the World Cup 2026 tournament, and participants to join by paying an entry fee.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By joining a sweepstake, you confirm that you are of legal age in your jurisdiction. The Service is intended for social entertainment among friends and is not a licensed gambling product.

3. Sweepstake Rules

  • All 48 World Cup 2026 teams are randomly allocated among participants using a cryptographically fair algorithm.
  • If all of a participant's allocated teams are eliminated in a given round, that participant is eliminated from the sweepstake.
  • Surviving participants are redrawn with the remaining teams after each knockout round.
  • The final two participants remaining are declared winner and runner-up.
  • Draw results are final and cannot be appealed.

4. Payments & Fees

Entry fees are collected via Stripe with 3D Secure authentication. A 10% platform fee is deducted from the total prize pool. The remaining 90% is split: 70% to the winner and 20% to the runner-up, paid as gift cards from our catalogue of 150+ brands.

Refunds are available only before the group stage draw has taken place. Once teams have been allocated, the pool is locked and entry fees are non-refundable.

5. Prize Fulfilment

Prizes are fulfilled as digital gift cards. Winners select their preferred brand from our catalogue. Gift cards are delivered electronically within 48 hours of the final match result being confirmed. We are not responsible for any restrictions or limitations imposed by gift card providers.

6. Fair Play & Integrity

All draws use crypto.getRandomValues() with the Fisher-Yates shuffle algorithm. Draw audit logs are publicly visible to all participants for transparency. Any attempt to manipulate the draw or exploit the platform may result in immediate disqualification and forfeiture of entry fees.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is”. We make no guarantees regarding tournament scheduling, match results, or third-party services (Stripe, gift card providers). Our total liability is limited to the entry fee paid by the affected participant.

8. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered organisers. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
